We will find A2,

A2 = A x A

\(\begin{bmatrix} 0 & 0 \\[0.3em] 4 & 0 \\[0.3em] \end{bmatrix}\)\(\begin{bmatrix} 0 & 0 \\[0.3em] 4 & 0 \\[0.3em] \end{bmatrix}\)

⇒ A2 =  \(\begin{bmatrix} 0+0 & 0+0 \\[0.3em] 0+0 & 0+0 \\[0.3em] \end{bmatrix}\) 

⇒ A2 = 0

Hence, 

A16 = (A2)8 = (0)8 = 0

Hence A16 is a nill matrix.
