1.

If A is an acute angle and tanA =3/4,find the value of 5cosecA+10secA

Answer»

ANSWER:

Given, sinA=3/5 and A is an ACUTE angle

So, in ΔABC we have ∠B=90

And AC=5 and BC=3

By Pythagoras theorem,

AB= ROOT (Ac^2-b^2)

root(5^2-3^2)

root 16

=4

Now,

cosA=AB/AC=4/5

tanA=BC/AB=3/4

cotA=1/tanθ=4/3.

secA=1/cosθ=5/4.

cosecA = 1/sinθ=5/3.
