Answer» 3P(A) = 2P(B) = 0.12 ∴ 3P(A) = 0.12 and 2P(B) = 0.12 ∴ P(A) = \(\frac{0.12}{3}\) = 0.04 and P(B) = \(\frac{0.12}{2}\) = 0.06 Now, A and B are independent events. ∴ P(A ∩ B) = P(A) – P(B) = 0.04 × 0.06 = 0.0024

∴ 3P(A) = 0.12 and 2P(B) = 0.12

∴ P(A) = \(\frac{0.12}{3}\)

Now, A and B are independent events.

∴ P(A ∩ B) = P(A) – P(B)

= 0.04 × 0.06

= 0.0024
