then

⇒a−b=2...(1)

⇒a+b=4....(2)

ADDING eq1 and eq2

⇒2a=6

⇒a=26=3

Substitute the VALUE of a in eq1

⇒3−b=2

⇒−b=2−3

⇒b=1

Hence the value of a=3  and b=1
