Answer»

Answer:

Difficult question. After all, receiving an answer doesn't necessarily mean you have the power to change anything, at least on a universal scale.

Difficult question. After all, receiving an answer doesn't necessarily mean you have the power to change anything, at least on a universal scale. If, like another answerer, I ask for the winning LOTTERY numbers, I may end up with wealth, but would that make my life better? As I understand it, people who win the lottery often end up spending all the money fairly rapidly, and/or suffer DIFFICULTIES in their relationships brought on by their changed circumstances. I'm not sure I'd be willing to risk it. I'm fine as I am. And for the avoidance of doubt, I don't play the lottery, for precisely that reason!

But it's a fairly wide question. Which God? People have different conceptions. If the answer was no, is it because my personal God concept is faulty? If the answer is there's no such thing as God, it would still leave me wondering why I have found so much of value in the teachings of Christianity. I've always been struck by what a BRILLIANT psychologist Jesus was, as DISCLOSED by the records of his teachings. Even stripped of a supernatural dimension, I would probably decide to continue following them because they provide such an excellent ethic. Even if God doesn't exist, love still does.
