Then, we are given, `ar^2 = 8ar^5` `=>r^3 = 1/8` `r = 1/2->(1)` Also, we are given, `ar^3 = 4ar^5` `=>r^2 = 1/4` `=>r = +-1/2->(2)` From (1) , we can see that r can not be negative. So, common ratio of given GP is `1/2`. |
