Answer» Solution :In Fraunhoffer diffraction the graph of the intensity of light on screen versus diffraction angle `THETA` is shown in graph. WIDTH="80%"> From the graph it can be said that the intensi of central maxima is highest. (i) All minima have zero light intensity. (ii) The intensity of maxima decreases wit INCREASE the angle of diffraction, thus i: intensity decreases as the order increase and the width of maxima ALSO decreases. (iii) As ratio `(lamda)/(a)` small, the diffraction will be and it is large, the diffraction will be more (iv) The angular width of central maxima inversely proportional to the width of SLIT. |
