Interstellar space has an extremely weak magnetic field of the order of 10^(-12)T. Can such a weak fleld be of any significant consequence? Explain.

Solution :(f} Because of very weak magnetic FIELD, RADIUS of circular paths followed by charged particles in Cosmic rays are FOUND to be very large `(because R= (mV)/( B_q) )`. Over gigantic interstellar distances (distances between stars) such a change in radius BECOME significant and that is why cosmic rays are greatly deflected from their PASSAGES.
