Answer» Aunt Polly tries new ideas on Tom because she analyses that he is turning idle with thoughts of getting involved in fights with children much older than him. she wants to punish him for his evil and tricky pranks, but she finds herself helpless as Tom is her dead sister’s son. Though Aunt Polly loves Tom dearly but Tom’s inclination towards troublesome deeds forces her to question about her parenting. She starts to think of strategies to get Tom busy with some work so that he may not indulge himself in any mischievous works. She decides to punish him by taking his freedom back from him from the very next day. |
