Answer» Solution :Lanthanoids have SIMILAR size DUE to lanthanoid contraction. They all have similar outer electronic arrangement. So these elements are ALMOST similar in their chemical properties and HENCE the separation of individual lanthanoid elements is DIFFICULT.
