Answer» Solution :(i) The values expressed in the GIVEN paragraph are that the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides in the agriculture should be MINIMISED. (ii) Fertilizers and pesticides are chemical COMPOUNDS which travel from soil to plant and then form plant to HUMAN causing health hazards. Pesticides have neurological EFFECTS on humans such as headache and hand tremors. Anumber of them are responsible for cancer. The solution to the problem is that natural fertilizers like cow-dung etc. should be encouraged, i.e., production of organic food should be increased.
