Answer» Solution :It is not NECESSARY that every magnetic field configuration have a north POLE and a south pole. POLES are formed only if the source of field has a net non-zero magnetic moment. In CASE of a toroid and for an infinitely long conductor CARRYING current net magnetic moment is zero and hence there is no pole formation.
