1.

My hopes are with the Dead; anon My place with them will be, And I with them shall travel on Through all Futurity; Yet leaving here a name, I trust, That will not perish in the dust.

Context: In this poem the poet says that he has a small library having books of great authors. He reads them and exchanges his views with them. He gets joy and consolation in reading them. So he thinks himself to be very grateful to them.

Explanation: In this concluding stanza the scholar says that his ambitions are similar to those of dead authors. He will also die soon and he will be in the line of dead authors. The people will read his books also as they read the books of dead authors. His thoughts will also travel from one place to another in the form of books. The scholar will become immortal just as his favourite authors are. The coming generations will not forget him.
