Answer» It is given that Total number of phone numbers = 200 (i) We know that Number of phone numbers with 5 = 24 So we get Required probability = number of phone numbers with 5/ Total number of phone numbers By substituting the values Required probability = 24/100 = 0.12 (ii) We know that Number of phone numbers with 8 = 16 So we get Required probability = number of phone numbers with 8/ Total number of phone numbers By substituting the values Required probability = 16/200 = 0.08 |
