So it is related to force and area as per the law : pressure = force/area.For example : consider a case when you are walking over an ice platform wearing a skate. EVER NOTICED your skates have large surface area ? Whybis it so ? Because if your whole MASS is concentrated over a small area ( in case you wear a shoe having pointed heels) then your whole mass has to bear by a small portion of ice platform which if it can’t then you will fall.
