Let p(x) = ax³ + 3x² - 3
and f(x) = 2x³ - 5X + a

=> p(x) is divided by x + 1

=> For REMAINDER p(-1)

=> p(-1) = a(-1)³ + 3(-1)² - 3

=> - a + 3 - 3

=> - a -------(R1)

Similarly

=> f(x) is divided by x + 2

=> p(-2) = 2(-2)³ - 5(-2) + a

=> 2(-8) + 10 + a

=> a - 6 ------- (R2)

Condition = R2 - 2R1 = 0

Let's put values

=> a - 6 + 2A = 0

=> 3a = 6

=> a = 2
