Below 1623 K, `triangleG*vs T` CURVE for the FORMATION of MgO lies below the similar curve for the formation of `Al_(2)O_(3)`. That means below 1623 K, Mg can reduce `Al_(2)O_(3)`. But above 1623K, `triangleG vs T` curve for the formation of MgO lies above the CORRESPONDING curve for the formation of `Al_(2)O_(3)`. That means above 1623K, Al can reduce MgO to Mg. |
