Some of the outstanding sculptors of the Renaissance period were: 1. Donatello (1386-1466) – bronze statue of David. 2. Lorenzo Ghiberti, bronze doors for Baptistery at Florence. 3. Michelangelo, ‘Pieta’, showing Mother Mary and Jesus. Statues of David and Moses. 4. Many Italian sculptors worked to decorate Church and palaces. In this way architecture developed was very much in this period.
