Short note on comment on the pathos in the play the brink of silence

Answer»

Answer:

In the play, "the BRINK of silence", there were a lot of instances where the reader TENDS to become sad or grieved for the story's narrative is strong enough to evoke pathos.

Explanation:

For instance, when the men got wounded after their ship had got lost. The reader GETS agitated when he/she discovers about the blizzard unfolding in the story, leaving only Gilbert Darton to survive. After the accident it took him months to recover and to what? Two more horrible news. The first being him getting sacked from his POSITION, leaving the expedition dying and second how his wife was getting married to SOMEONE else.
