| Answer» SOLUTION :There can be no discontinuity in tangential COMPONENT. The SURFACE is equipotential and the work done along an equipotential surface is ZERO. The reason being there is no potential DIFFERENCE and work done W = q.dV = 0. Since E dx = dV, there is no discontinuity in tangential component of electric field. | |
