Simplify the expression a(a^2+ a +1)+1 and find its value for a= -1please answer this question

Answer»

GIVEN,

An expression, a(a²+ a +1)+1.

To Find,

The simplification of this expression with the value of a = -1.

Solution,

Given expression = a(a²+ a +1)+1.

[Substituting the value of a = -1]

= -1(-1² + -1 + 1)+1

In the brackets:

→ -1² = -1 X -1 = 1

→ -1 + 1 GETS CANCELLED as the add UPTO 0.

By simplifying, we get it as:

-1 x 1 + 1

= -1 + 1

= 0

Therefore by simplifying the expression a(a²+ a +1)+1 with the value of a = -1, we get the answer as 0.
