Answer» SOLUTION : The graphs showing variation of stopping potential `V_(0)` with frequency v of INCIDENT radiation for two photosensitive materials A and B, having THRESHOLD FREQUENCIES `v_(A) and v_(B)(v_(A)gtv_(B))` are shown in here. the graphs are straight line graphs. (i) The stopping potential `V_(0)=(h)/(e)(v-v_(0))`, where `v_(0)` is the threshold frequency. As threshold frequency of A is more than that for B, it is obvious that for an incident radiation of given frequency the stopping potential for B is more than for A. (ii) The slope of the graph is `h/e`, which is INDEPENDENT of the nature of the photosensitive material used. |
