Answer» Anyone know what the advantage is of 1Meg of TSEG ADDED to the RAM Count at POST?
The motherboard is a BIOSTAR and the CPU is a Sempron X2 2.00 Ghz
Never seen this RAM COUNT + 1M TSEG before and google search didnt really answer my question as to what it exactly does and its advantage ?I LOOKED on Google, antonym finder and a few other sites and couldn't find anything.
And, frankly even with OLDER computers with small amounts of memory, I don't see where 1MB would add much. The TSEG memory is for the cpu to use when it is in system management mode. SMM space allows system management software to partition a region of system memory just below the top of LOW memory that is accessible only by system management software. Google for SMM, SMMRam, etc
