i don't even know how long i've been here for.. i probly could have been of a lot more use considering the amount of time it has been though

congrats though buddyI've been here a bit over 2 months...

Whose been here the longest, anyway (and don't say Nathan )?i'd say GX1_man (hope i got that right)Nope.
According to the members list it is dl65, CLOSELY followed by Flame, closely followed by Corrosive then Techno (admin's alt account) all within around 2 hours.
However, the earliest registered MEMBER may be 2k_dummy, I remember him telling me he posted for a long time as a guest because the login system went belly-up for him or something.
Might need an older member to testify as to who was the first.
but it definitely wasn't GX, look at his profile and you'll see.GX1_Man didn't even register until 2005, and from what I've checked, he's actually member... 5407!!!

Looking through that list, I see that there are sooooo many Newbies...wow.. i have crap stats compared to these guys.. doesn't help my deity status much does it? Post count is not everything, in fact it is the least of things.
You are judged by how helpful you are and the content of your posts rather than how many you make.i know, further proving my point... my stats are crap compared to you guys if you asked me how to single-fingerdly (ha! single-fingerdly... well i thought it was funny..) take apart the CODE of a virus to figure out how to get rid of it completely i'd be lost... or ask me to make an OS and i'd be even more lost... anything about networking, i'm lost... that's why i just try to help with whatever i can, but, comparatively, meh... i actually can't think of a single thread i've actually been part of solving lol..Quote

Same here.

anything about networking, i'm lost.
Anything beyond the simple network I have gets me lost as well.
So you see, just read a lot of posts and learn.
Find what you're good at and help people with that whilst you learn about other topics.well good point i've been trying and it gets a lot easier to understand lots of aspects of certain topics once there have been a few threads about it... it's probably going to help me doing an IT course in uni too, which means i'll be able to answer a lot more of the problems here fairly soon Grats and thanks for STICKING around. Since the forums have only been up for just over four YEARS one or more years is a real accomplishment. Nice job ULW !unlovedwarrior...

Happy Anniversary! I hope you have many more...

All the best, my friend...
