Solve : 1500 Watch as Teen Commits Suicide in Front of His Webcam? |
|
Answer» http://snipr.com/6wpwr Abraham K. Biggs, known as CandyJunkie on the BodyBuilding.com forums that he frequented, had threatened to commit suicide many times. However, last WEEK, he really meant it. And so it was that Abraham Biggs downed an overdose of anti-depressent medications, and hundreds of people watched his webcam while he died. The video from Abraham Biggs’ webcam was also posted on Justin.TV. It has since been taken down, but while up the description read: “CandyJunkie was a regular poster on Bodybuilding.com, and a bit of an attention *censored*, but so is half the misc section of bb.com. CandyJunkie, though, posted a lot about taking depressants and muscle relaxers. He made threads [sic] threatening to OD on these drugs several times but never followed through until Wednesday, November 19th 2008. Live on justin.tv he overdosed and seemed to fell [sic] ASLEEP. He passed away some time later as about a hundred or so miscers watched. Local authorities were eventually notified, but were hours too late. Rest in PEACE.” In reality, it is estimated that as many as 1500 people watched over the course of the twelve hours between when Biggs stated his intention and took the overdose, and when he died and was discovered by police. Some people actually egged him on, others discussed whether he had taken enough medication to actually kill him. But nobody bothered to alert authorities until it was too late. By the time someone contacted the forum administrator with what was going on - and the BodyBuilding.com administrator contacted the police where Abraham was, in Broward County, Florida - Abraham Biggs was dead. The last image on Abraham’s webcam, before it was taken down, was of the police entering, weapons drawn, and then finding the body. This is a sad case, on all levels. And it raises the question - what, if any - responsibility did those watching, the BodyBuilding.com administrators, and the Justin.tv adminstrators, have? What do you think? Were the Administrators watching? In my opinion, when someone says they are going to commit suicide, you need to talk to them. Talk to them, and keep talking to them, even if your parents are yelling at you to get off the phone/computer or whatever. If you decide that they are really serious, you ASK them how and when they are going to do it. Then you call 911, and don't feel bad about it, and you explain the situation. But, the number one thing: Dont feel bad about it if they do manage to off themselves. It was their choice, bad one or not. I think its HARD for some people to take things they see over the Internet seriously. Quite frankly, just thinking about it, if I were watching, I would make the guess that he had faked it, and I personally would probably not have contacted the police. woa thats sad just really sadWhen I was 14-->43 years ago.Me and a friend were walking to the bowling alley. We decided to stop and ask Jacky Bryant if he wanted to hang out with us. The front door of his home was glass at the top half so we could see inside. He was sitting in an easy chair with a 22 rifle between his legs and had put it under his neck and shot up.It killed him instantly. Wow! after 43 years I still found this hard to type... God Bless Jacky Bryant.woa that musta been tramatizing |
