Answer» Can you explain "Same WORK Group"Quote from the link I gave you: Quote ENABLE the host. At the host computer (the one the printers are connected to), log in as the administrator or as an account that has administrator capabilities. [highlight]Open the Control Panel and click Network And Internet CONNECTIONS. Below Pick A Control Panel Icon, click Network Setup Wizard. On the Welcome screen that displays, click Next and then click Next again. The wizard displays the Select A Connection METHOD dialog box.The Computers need to be in the same Workgroup to communicate with each other. Also Here is another good link for networking.BOTH COMPUTERS HAVE THE SAME WORKGROUP "MSHOME" Any other ideas? Not being able to see other computers in the wordgroup can happen with any firewall if it's not set up correctly, not just Norton. Have you ran the Network Wizard? You need to enable printer sharing within it. Look for setup home or small office network in My Network Places.Yes I have run the Wizard on both and enabled print sharing on both. I have disabled Norton on desktop, but not sure how to check for other Firewalls on both computers? It has to be the Firewall thats stopping me! How do I see OTER firewalls? ThanksCan anyone help with my problem? |
