I recently aquired a second SATA HDD & installed it but I can't seem to use it!?
It's recognised in my BIOS & in DEVICE manager in Windows, but there's no icon in 'my computer' for the 2nd drive.
Can anyone tell me what I'm supposed to be doing???
THANKS...You need to format it before you can use it.
You didn't mention what version of Windows you're using so I'm assuming XP.
Select Control Panel and find administrative tools
Select Computer management
Select Disk Management
There should be a disk with only unallocated space.
(like the BOTTOM drive in this pic)
RIGHT click the unallocated space, select format and press ok.
