Answer» i have a ASUS p4s8x mother BOARD, a 2.6 gig p4,x1550 256 ati VIDIO card and a COMP usa 500 watt power supply. i got the 500 watt supply because the 3 .3 volt rail was dipping and causing my system to crash. now its doing it agen anything i can do? if you know* its dipping from the psu, you know what to do...get anothermy system wouldnt boot so i unpuged my psu and pluged it back and now its fine i think i have old computer with a lot of drity plugs to bad i payed 80 bucks 4 a new one what did you use to determine your 3.3 V rail was fluctuating?80 bucks for a new what ? ?a new psu for 80m bucks. the hardware monitor in bios all so my mother board COMES with a program to monitor temp, voltage and fan speed
