Solve : 3.5" Floppy drive not responding?

My floppy drive isnt doing anything when i put one in. And its not on my computer, only the cd drives are. Anyone KNOW what might be wrong? :-/There are three simple steps:

Check cabling.
Check BIOS settings.
Replace drive.

Floppy drives are pretty cheap at the moment but they'll be increasing in price shortly. It might be an idea to BUY a couple in now if you use one REGULARLY. Seen the price of diskettes lately?

Why will they be increasing? Not being made anymore? :-?
As DEMAND DRIES up, price will increase.
The availability of cheap CDRW and DvDRW and the trend of "big box manufacturers" to leave out diskette drives has already put pressure on the market. The increasing omission of drive controllers on motherboards will see even more upward pressure on price.
