I've SINCE deleted some FILES and it's back in the blue (no registry editing required).

Howto remove the color bar

Run REGEDIT as administrator
Open HKLM\Software\Classes\Drive
Locate the key TileInfo. Remove the phrase "System.PercentFull;"
