Answer» Hi Group,
I don't understand anything about cards so please make it simple. A game I want to be able to use needs a 16MB 3D Card. What would this cost ? Where would I get it (in the UK) ? Can they be put in laptops or would it have to be a tower PC ?
Best wishes
Dave EA 16 MB card only? That's pretty small... You can find that card for probably under $50 in the US or UK... And yes... They are installed in both Laptops and Desktops... (They just have different models BECUASE of size)

THANKS for your reply. What would I ask for if I wanted a modest 3D card for a laptop. During a search I found a 3D pin ball game installed in my laptop. Does that mean I have a 3D card.
Best wishes
Dave EMost all laptops cannot be upgraded with a different video card.Let's see what kind of card you have... Click on Start -> Run... In the Run box, type: dxdiag ... Press enter... You might see a small GRAY box... Just click no one that... You should now see a large gray box... Click on the Display tab, and look at the top-right of the window... This should tell you your video card information... Mind reading to us what you see there?
[glb]Flame[/glb]Hi Again,
