Answer» i am currently using this 3ghz CHIP in a GA-8SIML MOTHERBOARD and it is running at a measley 1.5ghz and dont now what the problem is, about 1 month ago in a different board it was running the full 3ghz, and has been in storage till now. there are no OPTIONS in the bios to view any cpu info. it registers in VISTA as a 3ghz but still says that it is running at 1.5ghz can any body help? Simshi Probably would be good to know which 3G chip it is...there's 4 of them. Or the MBoard may not be reporting it CORRECTLY...what board did it come out of ? ?cant quite remember what board it came out of, how do i find out which of the 4 chips it is? simshiThis is just a wild guess based on the limited amount of information given, but check the motherboard for any FSB jumpers?there are no jumpers on the board Simshi
