The main advantage of 64 bit processors at the present is that they support somewhat higher FSB and transfer rates. 64 bit OS's are a year or TWO away. Affordable memory modules are probably at least that far away also. A full blown 64 bit system with currently available processors can support FSB as high as 1600Mhz
