Some part of my COMPUTER is broken, because when I fire it up, fans start, but SCREEN is black, and it's definately not a monitor problem. I think it overheated or something.
Anyways, is there any way I can figure out which component I have to replace, without substituting each part one by one?

Kop442000Well... First, do you have virus protection? Second, have you installed any new hardware/software lately?
[glb]Flame[/glb]A more computer savvy friend set up my computer originally, and said they had sorted out the virus STUFF, so I think I was ok on that score. And I don't think I had installed any new hard/software. I think I had left it downloading something for a long time, which TRIGGERED the trouble. That's why I assumed it was to do with overheating?Does the MACHINE make any beeps or sounds in squence of some sort?
