when computer start to boot up, at black and WHITE screen this error appears
" a disk read error occured "...
i'm using HDD brand samsung SP0411N (40GB/7200rpm/2M/PATA)
so anyone, please assist me....
so?what happened after the error?press ctrl+atl+delete to restart...
and computer will reboot and same problem will occured and..

Does Windows even BEGIN to load?
Is that all it says? "A disk read error has occurred?" Is there anything following that?it happen after BIOS, before loading windows XP sp 2...anyone pleaseWhat happened pprior to all of this?
Do you have any critical data on there? If so, you should remove that drive and slave it to another computer to see if your data can be salvaged.
If not, or after you do the above, you should download the diagnostics (free) at the Samsung site. It will create a bootable floppy so Windows will not be an issue. can you give a try in safe mode?
