Answer» Hi everyone! When I log off my computer, the a:drive LED light comes on and blinks a few times. then it makes a wierd noise, as if the computer is trying to communicate with the drive. This also happens when I turn off my computer. Can anyone please help. By the way, I am running win xp home edition. Thank you . Has it always been this way? If not, what has changed? WHat antivirus are you using?Hi there, No, it hasn'nt always been this way. I think it started when I used my antivirus program and the program I use it NOD32. Do you think this may have something to do with itCheck the settings for NOD32, it may have an option to check DISKS in drives when logging off I only say this because Avast! antivirus, which I used to use, had that option and it caused much the same thing to happen It REALLY annoyed me, especially as I never left disks in any drive when logging off, so I set it to not do itAs a quick fix try leaving a blank floppy disk in the drive (it might be faster to read that then to search and find no disk) and change the floppy disk boot options. Not to sure how to change the floppy disk boot option. Can someone help. Thanks!Even though you are not installing this program, the info on this page will help you adjust the boot order SAFELY. Just make floppy LAST in your CASE. CD first, hard drive second.
