The computer only recognizes it as 1066Mhz Athlon.....I got 640Mb of ram, Gforce FX5200, and most of my bios & drivers are up to date......can anyone help...Im no good with computers. I've played with the Vcore & other settings in my bios but nothing seems to work...Can someone GIVE me a step by step.....oh,,,I lost my MoBo manual...=(

Thankshi Steve, sorry to HEAR about your troubles, but unfortunately i have more for you. Your MOTHERBOARD does not support 200MHz FSB. It SUPPORTS 100MHz FSB.

Generally KT133 chipset motherboards are unstable or won't boot with Athlon XP chips, but some will. However, if you buy an Athlon XP, it won't work at the correct speed even if it does work; an Athlon XP 2500+'s 11x multiplier meant for 166/333MHz bus will only give you 1.1GHz on 100/200MHz FSB.

You could try out an Athlon XP 2400+, as it has a high 15x multiplier, and run it at 105/210MHz FSB x15 = 1575MHz, but even that has a good chance of not working, so it'd be best to try before you buy in a computer shop if possible. Keep us posted on how you make out. Cheers!
