Solve : ACCESSING BIOS MENUS?

Answer»

I was PLANNING to overclock my PC. I have a socket 939 MSI motherboard with an AwardPhoenix bios. Apparently many PC's that are bought pre-built lock out certain menus in the bios, in particular, the menu needed to improve processor speed. Is there any way to unlock these menus? Or is there something else I can do to improve my processor's speed.  How familiar are you with O.C.ing a PC? There is more involved than simply ramping up your processor speed. If you're not up to speed with this, I would suggest that you do some serious research before making the attempt. Unless, of course, you like heavy doors stops and EXPENSIVE paper weights. I'm not being obnoxious, I just hate to see a perfectly good PC wind up in a SCRAP heap. Not that familiar really. My research only extends to browsing a few websites. All of them make it seem like a pretty simple process. However I except that there's probably more to it than what first meets the eye. Can you recommend a reliable source that can guide me through the process and explain a way to deal with the issue previously raised.  Start Here...

NOTE: Personal observation here...most PEOPLE that overclock will because of personal pride not admit that they just TURNED a thousand bucks into a personal paperweight so take the advice at your own risk...
