Solve : Accidently put a MBR on a NAS/NFS drive and need remove so it is visible to NAS? |
|
Answer» I have a small Simpletech NAS on my network for 8 year, worked great. Took a power spike and it died. I tested the power supply but it seemed GOOD. Figured I fried the NAS system board. No LONGER available. I removed the Hard drive and tried to connect directly to my computer using a USB connection, when I plugged it in it asked if I wanted to put a MBR on it. I meant to click no, clicked yes. I still could not read data. I ordered a power supply and found out that it was not the system board but the power supply. Put the drive back in the NAS and now I cannot read it. I need to find out how to undo what I have done with the MBR. I did not format the drive. Can someone help me put it back to the ORIGINAL state? Or point me to a doc our utility. I hate to have to pay someone to recover it for me. See Here... |
