Not really sure if this went here or not, or if anyone would be able to help me.
Ok well basicaly my power ADAPTER is really playing up. My laptop will just swith itself to battery power even though the plug is in the back of the laptop. It takes a WHOLE lot of fiddling to get it to recognize it is in there. Once it is being recognized it gets VERY hot. Both the plug istelf and the jack were the plug fits into get very hot (so hot that ive burnt my self twice) Also when it is being recognized the little plug ICON will show in the toolbar, but often the little LIGHTNING symbol will disapear which to me suggests that it has stopped CHARGING, but when i put my mouse back over it the little symbol comes back.
Does anyone have an awnser on a fix to this because its driving me mad and tbh Acers email support sucks and there is now way im calling them up with them prices per minuite!

[ch268][ch293]rî[ch347]I think it needs to go for repair as this is not a usual occurrence and unless you have a LOT of experience and aren't afraid of turning it into a doorstop....

It may be something simple like a bad battery or a bad power adapter, but you never know.I was afraid you were going to say that. Its not really an option though, because the acer repair palce is over 500 miles away
Do you think somewere like PC world could fix it?

ChrisLet us know how it turns out. lappies dont generally make good computers for daily use, they wear out too quickly for my liking, and i cant fix them, hence the fact i dont own one, although soon i will need one for use here at my grandmothers house, the computer im gonna build is alittle bulky for transporting back and forth...
