Answer» A few days ago, I was trying to reboot my system in SAFE Mode. As the laptop began to boot, I began pressing F8 repeatedly and suddenly, the SCREEN went black. And it stayed that way. I switch on the power and an orange LIGHT comes on, but nothing is displayed on the screen. And I'm sure the OS isn't loading either because if I switch off manually it just goes off immediately. A quick touch of the button will switch it off. Before it took several seconds of holding the button down. Is my laptop recoverable?
