So given that you --> Quote
already disassemble the acer aspire 2920Z sir and clean every thing, remove the cmos battery, put a thermal compound in the cpu hit sink but still when i turn it on the cpu fan turn for about 3 to 5 seconds then after that nothing happen.

It's time for ISOLATING certain hardware components if its still replaceable based on your post/s.
1. Graphics card --> Given it is an on-board GC device on your laptop(or is not? depends on specs), Does this device can contribute to the cause? Yes.

2. What's also in connection with no display? As Mroilfield had just asked you and posted:

Have you tried hooking either laptop to an external monitor and then turning them on? Doing this will rule out the possibility that it could be the screens themselves that are bad.
3. RAM modules --> If you have reseatted one or if there are two RAM in your laptop, have you tried isolating either one or just used one RAM on one slot and alternately using either two slots and rebooted? Then what result it gives?
4. Cables --> Have you rechecked all plugs and cables are placed properly and seated and in good form?
5. Motherboard --> If you had a negative result on  #2, then it might be the mobo. Quote from: jason2074 on September 12, 2010, 06:37:41 AM

it has only 1 RAM a 512 DDR2. I already tried other RAM from my other working laptop and the same problem i encounter.

What if the mobo is defected. it their any way to fix it? i heard and read some article in the net that flashing the bios can help. other thing is by cleaning the mobo using water or a paint tinner. and even re heating the mobo. can this solve my problem? or would it give more damage on my laptop? ANYONE of you tried it already? please give me a feedback.
Is your ACER aspire with an HDMI port/adaptor? To be able to connect another monitor for testing. A BIOS update found on other threads referred to no display may vary on your issue. DO NOT clean your motherboard with any water/water mixed with  thinner. I suggest you try first the external monitor test if you have the hdmi port. You have also mention that you tested another RAM module from another laptop. Do they have the same type as the one you replaced? Otherwise it will not be readable or compatible and can also cause error and shutdowns. Is your 512 DDR2 RAM module from your ACER laptop the original or a replaced one?
