My acer laptop has been restarting everytime I resume from sleep mode, giving me the your system has not shutdown properly error.  Now I've been googling around and i think i've found the problem with the ACPI settings.  Problem is I can't change them in the BIOs because Acer limits it.

in step 3 of this i can see my acpi mode is s3 but entering the acer bios gives no options at all to change anything really.  Is there a way to change it to s1 and s3? because sleep is not working in s3.  thanks in advance.
