Answer» In my already QUIET operating new build (running for 1 week now). Today I installed a Seagate BARRACUDA 2nd hard drive, which is not yet initialized (another thread for that topic), EVGA GTX- 260 GRAPHICS card, Sony Blu-Ray BD-ROM drive, Zalman CPU cooler and an AeroCool 120mm case fan. I now have a kinda whistling noise I best can describe as sounding like the high pitched sound of an electric fuel pump in the gas tank of a car. I can't tell which device the noise is coming from but I did rule out the new cpu fan, new case fan, the 3 mainboard DDR2 RAM cooling fans and both 250mm factory case cooling fans. The 10,000 RPM Velociraptor hard drive has been quiet all week. Any idea of what would be making this type of sound and is it anything to worry about? SORRY for the 'sound diagnosis over the internet' thread. I just though this sound may be common and I just wander what it is. Thanks, MikeMay be harmonic sounds from the drive... Use some small felt washers on the mounting screws.Okay I'll TRY that. Thanks!!!
