Solve : adding pics to my page? |
|
Answer» Every time I insert a pic from my digi camera.. it works in my front page preview,.. but not when I publish them.. keeps comming up requested file exedes 256 kb. but I have had pics from it in the past.. is it my camera settings.?[img][img]How big are these pictures? Thanks.. its my Personal Web.. which contains a page for photo's.. in fact.. after I upload the pics to my web, I turn them into thumbnails.. then just open them up a little.. as thumbnails are sometimes small .. ?? That didn't QUITE answer my question. Were you ignoring me?No. not ignoring you raptor.. sory. the images are 'jpeg' 339 KB (347,425 bytes) and the host is netfirms.. nothing to do with my isp.yes soybean,, suppose I could ask my host Quote No. not ignoring you raptor.. sory. the images are 'jpeg' 339 KB (347,425 bytes) There you go, they need to be smaller than 256KB. I suggest that you use Irfanview to resize them and degrade their QUALITY a bit. Quote There you go, they need to be smaller than 256KB.They do? How did you determine that? The attachment added.. It said "The image must be smaller than 256Kb" So.. It's OBVIOUS that when you try to add a +300Kb image it won't accept it..Well, I don't agree that we can conclude from this that FrontPage won't upload files larger than 256KB. I have FrontPage 2000 but, unfortunately, I don't have a way of testing this right now. But, I find nothing in Help about a file size limit for pictures inserted into a page. And, I find it quite strange that a photo larger than 256KB can be inserted into FrontPage and previewed in FrontPage and, at the same, FrontPage has a limit of 256KB on photo file size that it will upload. Sorry, but I need further proof to believe that. So, I think there are other issues, perhaps involving the server end. I will contact my server.. also my host.. and maybe ms FrontPage.. will let you know the outcome.. thanksby the way.. did I forget to tell you .. the images SHOW up fine in Preview.. but not after publish. !I think it is your hosting service that does not allow you to upload files larger than 256KB, I never said it was Frontpage's fault. |
