Answer» I have an older computer with Windows 98 on it. Can I add a video card that supports dual monitors?Yes, just make sure the card has 2 # dvi or vga connectors*
Windows 98, Windows Me and Windows 2000 and Windows Xp all support Dual monitors.
Win 98 supports a max of 9And, if you now have an AGP card installed that you would like to continue using, you could install a PCI video card for the second monitor. If you do this, I suggest you GET a PCI card with a graphics CHIP from the same manufacturer as the one on the AGP card. In other words, make them both ATI or both nVidia. They can be mixed but keeping them the same can just help avoid driver CONFLICTS. Don't need to be the same exact chip, just the same manufacturer. For example, I have an AGP (nVidia GeForce FX 5200) combined with a PCI (nVidia GeForce4 MX440). They use the same driver. If it's an older macjhine with Win98 chances are the slots aren't AGP...PCI most likely.
