Answer» My Modem type is NEC-R100, and its Alarm LIGHT turns on frequently during mid-night PERIODS. (If the Alarm light turns on, that means the network connecton is blocked.) I was wondering if that was due to the attack of virus! But that 's surely SILLY of me to think that virus would attack Hardware rather than software. Please help!VIRUSES are self replicating programs.. Is it a router with a built in firewall or just a cable modem? What does the manual have to SAY?
