Answer» I agree with Patio, you may have had a succession of bad drives.Why don't you try those drives on another computer? I'll bet you that a local computer repair store could try them out for free. Or the place you bought them from.Ill try that TOMORROW. Ill have to do it at a friends house. Ill update my post when Im done.Okay, Ive been busy, but Im Back. I tried it on a friends computer, and IT WORKED! I BURNED a couple of discs, and without a PROBLEM. Why wont it work in my pc? Is it possible that my motherboard is going bad?If you tried a brand new IDE cable and it does not work and you have UNINSTALLED the IDE channel in Device Manager as Broni suggested above then YES that IDE channel is dead... |
