Solve : AMD A-3850 crossfire with AMD-6670 GPU?

Answer»

I have an AMD A-3850 APU (CPU with a built in GPU), and it supports crossfire with 6450, 6570, and 6670. Basically I would like to know if I can USE this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102958 . It and many other cards in this price rage say they have no CrossFireX support, does this mean I can't use them to crossfire with my apu. or is that TALKING about crossfire with another gpu or what, because I believe crossfire with an apu just happens throught the PCI 2.1 thingamajig er whatever. also, should I opt for the ddr5 or ddr3, because I could get ddr3 like $20 cheaper, but O THINK I should get ddr5.Crossfire requires 2 vid cards with the same Chipset...
Onboard is irrelevant in this equation.

Just a heads up...The AMD A series APU's are cpu's with a quality gpu on the same die (Radeon 6550 in my case). The apu can be crossfired with those three gpu's mentioned. I think you just put the discreet card in and then enable crossfire, NUT am not sure.Yes it does support what is called Hybrid Crossfire/Dual Graphics.

Yes you are right.allright, so should I pay an extra $15 to get gddr5 or just stick with ddr3?http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-4870,1964-3.html
The HD 4870 with GDDR5 performs equally to the 9800GX2.(yes 2 graphics cores) That's impressive.
Yes go ahead GDDR5 has much more memory bandwidth than GDDR3. Lookout for the size of the memory bus and the memory FREQUENCY, though, if the comparison is between GDDR5 on a 256-bit bus and GDDR3 on a 512-bit bus, I would go with the GDDR3 because it has more "lanes" to process data.
In real-life you'd probably see an improvement of at most 20 FPS.
