my 2.17 gig amd athlon 2700+ processor says it runs at 1.2 gigs?

It's recognized as 1.2 for all my programs on windows *like games and such that scan for it*

why does it do this? is windows being retarted? do i have to change a bios setting?

I dont know why this is like this!?!? *and yes it is 2700 and yes it is a 2.17gig Process, amd said it was themselves*

Mobo = Soyo k7VME
Proc = AMD ATHLON 2700+
Ram = 768mb
HD - 100gig Western Digital
PS - 200watt *i think*
Vidcard - MSI Nvidia 128 - TV5200
Soundcard - Sound Blaster Live *the crappy 16bit one, dirty punks lied to me!*

Do you have the latest bios ?

If your using a 200watt power supply ...that's a bit small.

I havent been able to find the manual yet to check your set up .........are you sure you have it set up properly ?

Exactly what kind of Ram do you have installed ? I know you say 768 mb ....what kind ?( speed )

the onbaord sound SUX so i use a card

i have the latest bios

my powersuppies  a 350 watt

ram is 333

and i think i have it all set up right, IM going to go mess with bios and double check al my SETTINGS...
